Through Fur & Rep I explore the possibilities to make furniture constructions out of rope and wood, where forces work together to create stability. The techniques and aesthetics are borrowed from sailing. The project has the ambition to play with the reading of furniture as functional objects, where the furniture themselves issues and direct how to approach them. The production of the furniture is bound to one’s hand, to assure the influence of the designer through the whole process.
