Soon it is night is a graphic novel about finding a place for feelings that are not allowed to take place. Feelings that we are taught not to talk about, to hide under the pillow or throw out of the window. The shame created by carrying these feelings follow us like a shadow that we try to run away from, and maybe that is why many run into a darkness that is so hard to find a way out from again.
On a lonely and lost paperboat we find ourselves on a boundless ocean to find a symbolic, imaginary and emotional place for these vulnerable feelings to be accepted, embraced and understood.
