Affective Sensations Arising From Matter
The artist’s practice is based on methods of affection and bodily sensations in relation to materials. In this specific installation, colorful, synthetic materials take over Konstepidemin’s Boiler Room (Pannrummet), a room filled with rusting metal, muddy water and weathered plaster walls. The contrasts remind us of the old and the new, the craft and the digitalization. The audience is invited to focus on affective sensations through the materials. The materials relationship to each other, the space and our bodies raises questions on affective knowledge productions and relationships with materials.
