Keramik för alltid
This project is based on my love of ceramics. There is a tactility in high-fired ceramics that I admire. How the light is captured and how the shadows enhance the shape. The traces of my hands are always there.
My main goal with the project has been to scale my artistic expression as well as an attempt to maintain the ceramic qualities of new materials. I wanted to keep the organic, soft and playful that my smaller sculptures are often described as – and see how the expression is experienced on a larger scale. What happens when something small becomes big.
It has been an exploration of materials and for me new methods that have resulted in a 180 cm high sculpture made of styrofoam and concrete clay.
