V\u00e4vda Dialoger<\/h2>\n

In my degree project the work of the hand begins where speech ends in a woven correspondence between me and six mothers who, like me, have lost an infant child. With simple weaving frames and our own hands as tools we weave in remembrance of our children, the joy and the sorrow they left behind creating a mark of memory in each weave. Some of the mothers have let the weaves enter into a dialogue with each other, others have chosen to let the dialogue take place in the individual weave by us starting and ending each other\u2019s weaves and I have woven one weave that they responded to by weaving their own.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The act of weaving becomes the act of remembering. Together we mourn through our hands linking\u00a0our before with our after.<\/span><\/p>\n
